Coach Logic - Promotion Site

  • A web app created to allow coaches to manage their teams in an online environment. Allows coaches to set up exercise and training plans for full teams or individual players, and also upload videos for analysis of performance. I designed the marketing site for the application.

  • The application design was undertaken by another designer, I was tasked wisign up and the design of the marketing site, used to encourage users to learn about and sign up to the application.

  • The design was created to be clear and easy to understand, but also not to be too clean and clinical that it didn't reflect the personality of the application and what it's purpose was.

  • Use of graphical elements, broken and sketched elements were used to create a personality for the site. The site can be seen at http://www.coach-logic.com/

Robin - app.net Android client

  • A collaboration between myself and two great developers, Robin is an Android based app.net client. As app.net is in its infancy there are a lot of developers creating what they hope will be the go to client for their platform.

  • When we started development there was only one other Android app available, since then others have emerged, but we are focused in making ours the best experience for the end user, so it will only be released to the public when it is ready.

  • As the app is currently in private beta, I can provide access to a beta version of the application if requested.

Porridge on Tuesday

  • A responsive web app aimed at mothers of young children to help them with their exercise and diet so they can return to their health level and weight that they were at before their pregnancy. I was involved in the ux and ui design of the application itself. The app was also required to be fluid responsive down to mobile as well, which brought its own challenges.

  • The app needed to work equally well on desktop, tablet and mobile devices. Due to the complexity of the application and limitations created by touch based devices, some functionality changes had to be made when targeting different devices.

  • The visual design of the app was styled to appeal to mothers of very young children. The app was to have a friendly conversational feel and tone of voice so interacting with the app would feel more like working with a friend than an application.

  • Exercise and eating plans were created so that users could follow along with the plan easily, and a custom 'shopping list' created for each week so the users could plan to buy the ingredients in advance.

Eric N Smith

  • A jewellery designer based in Glasgow, this is an update to his current site. Incorporating a new purchasing process and system to make the purchasing of items easier for the user.

  • Eric N Smith is a high end jewelery designer who wished to branch out and sell pieces online. To do so we created a site that would effectively showcase the jewelery in the best possible way.

  • The site also had to make buying the jewelery an easy process for any user, so we took a particular interest in making the buying process clear and easy to understand.

Drummond Miller (Currently in development)

  • A property site in Scotland providing both rental property and property available to buy. Designed to stand out from other property companies that provide a similar service, and provide an engaging and ultimately easily usable site.

  • In and around the Edinburgh area there are a number of property and solicitors services. Drummond Miller wished to stand out from the crowd and were open to ideas on how they could both stand out and create a great experience for their users.

  • One of Drummond Millers selling points is their hands on, personal service, and their ability to work with a client at every stage of buying or selling a property. This used as a basis for many of the design decisions.
